What happens when circus is no longer something you simply watch onstage, but a festival you can step into and experience with your whole body? How far might that open up the possibilities of physical experience? Created by FOCASA Circus, the second edition of the 2026 On_Body Arts Festival will take place at the Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park from July 4 to 12, with the festival closed on July 6 and 7. This year’s festival introduces a new immersive mountain-shaped big top and an original headline production, Enchanted Forest. Across seven themed zones, more than a hundred performances and workshops will transform the site into an arts village where a single ticket opens the door to a full range of experiences—allowing body-based art not merely to arrive in Hualien, but to truly grow out of the land itself.
